Welcome to Club Lexus! 3RX owner roll call & member introduction thread, POST HERE

First weekend in my 2012 RX450h. It was a CPO with 45k miles but the car is exceptionally clean. The original owner took great care of this car, the oil was changed every 2-3 months! Very happy with the car, I positively LOVE the Nebula. When we bought the CTh I really wanted the Nebula, but wife liked the Smokey Granite better, plus the Smokey being a 2011 color gave us additional discount when the 2012 Nebula CTh first started showing up.
I traded a 2008 Acura MDX Tech for the RX450h, from which I traded a 2006 RX400h for lol . Also had a Blue Vapor 2002 RX300 before that, so I'm no stranger to the RX. The RX even the older ones have a much smoother and plusher ride than the Acura, but of course the Acura handles like a race car compared to the RX. It's always been a back and forth thing, but I'm getting older now, I love the very plush and quiet ride of the RX450h.
Out of the 25 or so cars I've ever owned in my life, this is only the third car I bought used. After I saw the condition and history of this car, I figured why not save the $20k over getting new. Plus being a Lexus CPO it really gave me great confidence since I have another 3 years/55K miles of warranty. And it helped that it was in the right color, the Nebula. Did I mention that I LOVE the Nebula gray color? I have the perfect pair in my garage now

RX Model Change
I bought my 2010 RX on Feb. 14th, 2009 which was the first day the 3rd generation RX was available. So even if there is a 6 year period between generations, the 4th generation RX would become available in early 2015 like I said. The recent changes to the RX are superficial and just a response to the popularity of the slick LED's on the front of Audi's and Mercedes. In no way is this any form of a model change or a reason to delay a new generation. I still feel the 4th gen will come out in early 2015 if not sooner. We'll certainly find out who is right.

Me too, me too!
Just purchased my first Lexus RX350, a 2010 off lease vehicle with 44xxx miles. Navi, Premium and maybe more. Take possession tomorrow and will have some time to figure out all the goodies. 18" wheels, Dark Blue w/ black interior. Somebody swiped the wood/leather shift **** . Dealer says it's $450 to replace, but they'll take care of it .
It'll look just fine next to my Audi A4 Cabriolet which is Caribic Blue
Glad to be on board.

New to me RX350
Hi forum,
Last week here in bay area california I have been looking for 2010/2011 RX350 CPO with navigation with less than 30K miles for 28K - 32K OTD with no deal, average here with 2010 RX350 CPO ( 35k or less miles) with navigation cost 33k to 38k. Finally bought this 2days ago 2010 RX350 CPO ( VIN number with JTJZxxxx) with 27K miles for 34.5k OTD with 3yrs/100k warranty before taxes, one owner clean carfax, dealer perform 30k miles service includes replaced all brake pads and flush brake/washer fluids, all filters, change oil, 4 wheel alignment, fairly new 19" Hankook tires and, excellent outside/inside condition, Do you think this is the right price for this car? I don't know about packages installed with this car but Im taking photos while reading the manual. Is there anything particular I need to check? thanks.
UPDATE: Complete LED interior, Puddle, reverse, DRL, HID fogs, air dam mod.

Came in from the Dark side to the Green side
From V8 to hybrid.
Just picked up a new to me 2011 RX450h last Friday.
Pretty loaded
38,256 miles
Color Code LB20 (Smoky Granite Mica)
Black Interior
AWD
Comfort Package
19" wheels
Navigation
Premium Package
Tow/Prep Package
Remote Start
Will be contacting Jerry for extended warranty opens.
Took her on a run up to Boston from Queens this weekend to see what she was about and she made a great first impression. The first extended curve brought home the reminder that I wasn't in my GS anymore and needed to drive her a bit differently. But felt great to be able to ignore a pothole or two, finally.
Really comfortable ride and she does have a bit of 'get up' when needed so was pleasantly surprised. Had the dreaded cabin noise I've seen referenced here duing my research (it was this or the GX). It was 99 on the road up to Boston and didn't hear it until we were 3 hours into the trip. Only came on for about 3 minutes or so with the A/C running. From the drivers seat it sounded like it was coming from the door, but my wife was more definitive and said from the passenger seat it sounded as if it was behind the glove box. Didn't hear it any longer for the remaining hour of the drive nor at any point on the drive home yesterday when it was considerably cooler. Will keep an ear out to see if it comes back.
Looking forward to getting more than 11mpg in the city.

oohpapi44, I merged your thread into the 3RX rollcall. Congrats on your 450h. Hopefully the cabin noise was just a fluke and never comes back. You may want to consider removing the crossbars. They can cause noise too. I was wondering, were you driving with eco mode on or off? The RXh has decent power for a 4,600 lb SUV. Enjoy it!

I haven't taken it out of eco mode at all yet. Barely had time to go through the owners manual before getting on the roadl so figured that was the safest route to go. Averaged 28 going up, a little over 26 coming back down. Will admit to having a lead foot for the ride home however. But got caught in 45 minutes of stop and go traffic in CT so that brought the mpg up to 26 from 24.3. Will take some time to get used to trying to enjoy the scenery a bit more while driving.

Not a problem, thanks. Been advised to take some weight (600 pound owners packet for starters) out of the glove box and see if that helps as well. But will wait and see if the noise comes back. Hopefully not.

Fair warning, once you turn eco mode off you might not turn it back on. The extra power can be addictive.
