Wow! I haven't been on this board since 2010! My beloved '08 RX350 was totaled in a car crash so I'm now in the 3rd Gen crew and can't wait to experience the upgrades since then! My 08 had a cassette deck and I think that's the only thing I'm gonna miss. I just purchased a '13 silver/gray, with nav, and loaded.

Lakitac, welcome officially to CL -- stepping up from "lurker mode" to member! ...and congrats on that new-to-you 3rd Gen RX. I promise, you won't miss that cassette deck for long, and some are already saying our single CD slot is on it's last legs with 3rd Gen USB and better bluetooth capability. Ah ha ha. Post a picture when you get a chance -- many here "require" them!

No, I don't play soccer!
What good is the 3RX family album without pictures
lakita, sorry to hear about your '08. Like Bert said, you won't miss the cassette deck. I never used mine since I had the VAIS unit installed in the 330. So happy USB was added to the 3RX. Spend some time playing with the features in your RX, preferably when you're not moving please. The manuals are chock full of great information. It's worth cracking those open too. BTW, they also have multiple uses - cure for insomnia, added weight in the cargo area, an impromptu bolster seat, among other things Enjoy your RX and welcome back!

Purchased a new ES-350 6 months ago and was so happy with that I just traded for a new 2015 RX-350. RX is Obisidian with saddle leather, Nav, 19" wheels, luxury package. Traded in a 2012 Chevy Avalanche LTZ white diamond tir-coat after the last repair bill which costs me $2048 total for a parking sensor replacement and out of warranty split cost of new wheels. Giving GM over two grand in repairs for a vehicle with only 26,000 miles on the odometer told me that future repair costs were going to be expensive and frequent! The Avalanche was 1 month beyond the 36 month warranty for the wheels and GM would not cover the repair completely but split the wheel cost. Pics below show the new RX and my Avalanche on the dealer lot then the RX at home.

My first black auto and I have have heard that they are a joy to get clean. Thankfully the hood if it develops swirls is hidden from view while riding in the cockpit. I have added mud flaps, roof rack cross bars, Weathertech mats and soon door side moulding. Not going to use the roof rack, just think it looks weird without cross bars. It was either add the cross bars or take the roof rack side rails off. Will hold the side moulding up to the doors to see if I like it before installing. the side doors are pretty massive and breaking them up with the moulding seems to give them a more 3D sculpted look. Have owned 7 Hondas before the GM Avalanche fiasco so reliability is key for me. My son has an IS250 and my dad a new RAV4 so we all greatly value reliability. So many nice new cars out soon like the new Tacomas, Maxima, 2016 RX, Genesis etal so I was hard to decide between buying now and waiting for a new gen vehicle. Only cleanliness issue I am having so far is the windows. They came with a really greasy film on them. Windex, Meguiar's didn't touch it. Stoner's Invisible glass did much better. Bon Ami no longer recommends using their 1886 Original Formula on auto windshields. Tonight I am gonna try the Gel-Gloss NoSteek Glass Wax Cleaner and the lint free Surgical Huck Towels on the windows. Picky....picky...picky......
