Hello everyone. New guy checking in. My wife has wanted a Lexus RX350 for years. Our 04 camry SE V6 which had served us well was ready to move on to a new home/life. We found a 13 CPO RX350 with 28,xxx miles and closed the deal about 3 weeks ago.
It has been a pleasure so far. The ride and comfort is great. I find it relatively quiet overall with good performance. Fuel mileage while not as good as the Camry it is still very respectable. 215 mile trip this weekend netted 26.2mpg.
I will say I find some of the redundant controls a little distracting and unnecessary, but I can live with them. Would have been nice to loose some of the redundant controls in favor of a remote start, sunglass holder, or back lit moon roof, map light controls.
So far all we have added to is weathertech floor and cargo liners. I have used weathertech liners in the past, and saw no reason to try something else. They fit perfectly and look great.
Anyway I look forward to everyones knowledge and RX350 love.
GRJFER - Sweet looking car. Your wife has excellent taste. I agree with all the pros and cons you mention. Happy motoring. Excellent choice and welcome to the board.

I'm 99% committed to a 2012 RX450h (and very excited about it!) I'm familiar with the Prius hybrid, so moving to n RX450h doesn't seem like that much of a leap in hybrid awareness/maintenance, but I'm sure there's only so much preparation I can do.
How many miles on your 450s? Any red flags that you wish you knew about before buying?
New owner of a pre-owned 2010 RX350 with 68K miles. Red with comfort pkg and premium pkg. Obviously a beautiful car that'll be my wife's daily driver, though I'll log plenty of miles as well. We purchased an '05 RX a few years ago that gave us endless headaches. It hadn't been taken care of by the previous owners and we overlooked it's shortcomings and purchased it anyway. Even though my wife loved driving it the repairs were getting too frequent and expensive. Traded it in for a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4 and after 2.5 years the Lexus itch was back and she had to scratch it. Anyway, we think we did a better job identifying a well-maintained used RX this time. We know they are good cars as long as they're taken care of.
Glad to be here and to have this site as a reference and so many folks here to give sound advice. Hopefully I'll only be posting about how much I love the 2010 model RX and not whining about repairs!

Congrats on the RX, hopefully this one will treat you a lot better than the 05 did..
Had a GX470 years ago. After four years of absence I am back in the Lexus saddle. Kinda broke also. LOL !! ... but love the RX.
I have a stick shift FJ, a Sequoia and a old beater stick shift 1998 RAV4 for my work. I wanted to replace my wife's old Camry with a 4x4 and she wanted all luxury. She drove a stick shift Camry for years and before that all stick shifts she was sick of it. She drives 50 mins to work everyday so it had to be a fuel efficient 4x4 SUV. When we get snow in Kentucky Tennessee area we don't really get salted quickly so I had to make sure she gets in a nice 4x4. There was only one choice. Love the vehicle. Brought it from Indianapolis last weekend...
The fuel economy is AWESOME!!!!
Now my TLC begins. I am OCD with cars and want them perfect. The vehicle is clean and doesn't need much... except a few things..
1) GPS update (270 dollars Lexus quoted) - Ouch !
2) Tires... In another 6 months once I am over the shock of spending so much money.
3) There was a front end minor collision when the car was only 6 months old with a DEER. Airbags did not deploy. Anyway the front bumper from the wheel well corner slips out after a while and I have to pop it back in. Thinking about taking it to a body shop so they can fit the bumper back in properly.
4) There is a rattle that is coming from the front passenger door. Who knows who did what to this car. I plan to take the inside panel off to see what is rattling inside. It is very minor but the car being so quiet that noise is driving me crazy.
Anyway,,, after a few months I am hoping to make it perfect. There is no scratch or any other issues with it. Drives very nice.
Oh............. 79k miles..
What should I be doing maintenancewise?
Auto trans fluid?
Is it easy to change oil myself at home?
I do all my cars at home always.
Just purchased my first 2012 RX350 on Saturday. Nebula gray pearl with light gray leather interior, and premium, comfort and appearance packages. Also has NAV. 38k miles on it, well cared for previously.
Working on selling my previous car - '07 Acura TL Type S, manual transmission, 242k miles! Hoping my new RX will go above and beyond the TL.
Absolutely love it so far!
By the way, I am in search of a light gray cargo / tonneau cover if you know of any available. That was the only item missing from the car.
