Default Moved from 2008 Lexus RX400h Ultra Premium to 2014 Lexus RX450h Ultra Premium

After having a great experience with the 2008 Lexus RX400h ultra premium for about 1 year, I decided to sell it when I received an offer I could simply not ignore (basically, offered me a few grand more than what I paid for it 1 year ago). I decided to step it up a notch and purchase a 2014 Lexus RX450h ultra premium package in immaculate condition. I just purchased it today so I have had limited seat time, but super impressed as it feels like a big step up in most ways. The quality, refinement, features and technology are all a big upgrade. I was also very impressed with the chassis, suspension setup,, which I felt was the biggest weak point of the RX400h where the flimsy chassis and lack of rigidity in the steering and suspension components really showed its ugly head at high speeds or at fast speed imperfections where the chassis would shudder and the it would float left and right etc. The much superior chassis and suspension with higher rigidity actually make the RX450h mask speed a lot more. While the RX400h felt like it was going million miles at 90 mph, the RX450h feels like it is going 50 mph at 90 mph. Super impressed at the progression in 5 years. Also, while the RX400h gives you the feel of a truck-like chassis the RX450h with its width to length ratio, seems to give you car-like feel where it feels more planted in turns and seems to have lower center of gravity. I like the sport mode where the steering really tightens up a lot and has a more instantaneous return-to-center after lock.

One area where I am bit unsure is the acceleration. The RX400h especially off the line was a beast with that instant torque hitting you hard. If I needed to switch lanes immediately after a light, I never had any issues with anyone covering the first few feet quicker. I even out-gunned a B8 Audi S4 off the line and it took him a while to catch up and pass me. It felt quick both off the line or when you suddenly passed someone at highway speeds. The RX450h even with almost 300 HP vs 270 HP feels kind of lazy. The RX400h would just go as soon as you tip into the throttle. I have a suspicion the previous owner was putting regular Octane 89 gas in it and it is pulling timing while I put only Octane 94 in my RX400h. Once I run out of gas and refill, I will put the theory to test.

Anyway, all in all super impressed as I never thought an SUV would feel genuinely enjoyable to drive. I will put up more impressions and picture soon.

After nearly 15 years of my wife driving Volvo's, it was my idea to get her into a Toyota Rav4 originally. We gave the RX a try and knew that was going to be her next car. After many months I finally found an excellent used / low mileage, dealer only serviced RX. The competition is fierce when trying to find a good used RX I've learned. Very impressed with the RX. Drives smooth and very quiet. Great car! Happy to be here to learn more.

1. 2012 RX 350
2. No Nav
3. Tungsten Pearl / Light Gray
4. Premium package:
  • Leather heated / cooled seats.
  • Lexus Memory System to control power driver's seat (including lumbar).
  • Power tilt-and-slide moonroof with one-touch open/close and sliding sunshade.
  • USB audio input for iPod® [23]/compatible music player integration with audio system.
  • Rear-armrest storage compartment with cover.
  • Power rear door.
  • Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors.
5. FWD, 18" wheels

Hey everyone!

I drive a 2014 Lexus RX350 F-Sport with 119k kilometres and a heavily modified 2002 Toyota Highlander with 275k kilometres. Both fantastic cars!

I've only done some simple quality of life modifications on the RX so far, but I eventually plan on putting it on some coilovers to stiffen it up. I also intend on installing a larger Hardrace rear sway bar to reduce some understeer.

Default My second Lexus

Hello all! New to the forum. Northeast Tennessee area here. I’m a real estate agent that drives around 30k miles per year.

For the last year I’ve been driving a 2005 LS430 which I LOVE. However, I purchased a 2013 RX350 this past Friday to replace it. Needed the practicality of an suv.

2013- 2 owner. 52k miles. Always serviced at the same Lexus dealership in Charlotte, NC- and has been sold each time by them also.

-Stargazer black with Saddle Tan leather
-19” Chrome accessory wheels installed for the first owner by the dealer.
-12 speaker upgraded audio system
-Navigation package
-Premium package
-Comfort package
-Tow prep package.

So far, I’m loving it!

I’ll post more photos once it’s back from the detail shop where it is having the windows and windshield tinted, along with paint correction completed and it’s being ceramic coated.

Hi all!
I'm Michal from Poland.
I've just bough 2012 LEXUS RX 450h with 111 000 km (69000 miles) on wheels. First Lexus, first Hybrid.
I have no idea where to check for that specific information that you write here. ******* doesn't give much or I can't find it. I think that it has almost everything besides panoramic roof, backseat multimedia and homelink.
Model code is GYL15L-AWXGKW
I have few questions and you know the answers for sure

Have a nice day
Michal

I just picked up my 2010 RX350, been wanting to get one since they firs came out but didn't have the funds to do so. I am so happy and lucked out with the purchase.
This has a full maintenance record, every 5k at a Lexus Dealership. Only problem is the speaker is not working and I am in a process on researching the issue. Thanks

2. Navigation
3. White with gray interior
4. Premium Pkg

Also have a

Smile Fun Smooth Ride

First Lexus. A nice find. 2015 RX350 F Sport with 32k miles (half the miles of my 2016 Accord0). Paint is in great condition. Pictures may come later.
I love the way it seems new and runs smooth and strong!
Silver
19 inch wheels
Black interior
Dash mat
Navigation
All weather mats throughout
Seems to have everything except the remote start, trailer package, and blind spot monitor.
It's for the wife's comfort with 40 minute commute to work. She needs an adjustable passenger seat.
Would have been nice if Lexus put a full time LED area spot-light

From the day I went to test drive.
for the center console (night time) like my 2015 Pilot (blue light) and 2016 Accord Sport (red light). (Maybe it has one that is out?) But, no one is complaining. We love it!
