Default Auto window and sunroof opening

I've had a 2010 loaner for a couple of months now while waiting for delivery of my loaded 2010. I don't have a manual so I'm flying blind ! On my 2004 and 2007 you could hold the remote open button and all windows and the sunroof would open to cool off the vehicle. I can't seem to get the loaner vehicle to do this. Any helpful suggestions ?

That feature is available and the dealer have to program it. I had my 10 RX 350 for the first time and seem to cannot be able to lower all the windows with the remote, until I have read the manual and had to take it to the dealer to get it programmed. Now I love it and especially on a hot day.

I agree it's kind of absurd to have this feature disabled by default. The better half's old 2003 Accord LX had this, I had to have the dealer enable it on her 3RX. Worse still, you can open the windows and moonroof, but you can't close them with the fob from outside the car. Pretty lame IMO for a car that's been marketed as having lots of special technology.

Go into your NAV/setup feature. All the settings are in there. You can program it the way you want.

With all respect that's not accurate, opening the windows/moonroof from the key fob can only be enabled by the dealer, at least on the 350 models.

I remembered reading that section in the owners manual and went looking for it. As we know, reading 'that' manual is probably kin to reading the 'Health Reform' bill. After 1st trying to find it in the NAV system (and couldn't), I searched and referenced and re-referenced in the manual and finally found it. The symbol '0' was there meaning available but in column #4 meaning Dealer Option. I hate it when I'm wrong (2nd time this year) .

OK, I'm eating humble pie

I always like to refer to this and have printed it out: http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/RX_with_nav.pdf
I think it's clearer then what's in the owners manuel.

No worries, seems I've had a steady diet of that lately myself

And it's not like all the stuff in the 3 foot thick owners manual for these trucks is easy to keep track of...
