Does anyone remember this Lexus introduction from twenty years ago? I do, and so does our dealership. Maybe Lexus and some of their dealerships have forgotten.
"Lexus will enter the most competitive,
prestigious automobile race in the world.
Over 50 years of Toyota automotive experience
has culminated in the creation of Lexus cars.
They will be the finest cars ever built.
Lexus will win the race because
Lexus will do it right from the start.
Lexus will have the finest
dealer network in the industry.
Lexus will treat each customer
as we would a guest in our home.
If you think you can't, you won't...
If you think you can, you will!
We can, we will."

When I was a kid in the 1960s, my father and the salesman were "friends". That era is LONG over. Buying a car is a commodity. Make your best deal, let the dealer have SOME profit and that's it. The salesman is not your friend and in many cases is gone before your first service. Truth be told even in the 1960s the salesman wasn't your friend, although there was some continuity as most tended to remain at the same dealership for years or whole careers.
In Pittsburgh the Lexus dealers (2) are owned by the same company and they have a relative monopoly. Most people won't go out of town to save $500 or $1000...but they might to save $2000. So the locals will get that much more than many "best deals" seen on the internet. It's just the way it is!

My new Lexus was delivered to me on Tuesday by general manager. He was real customer service person and I'm now happy owner of brand new RX 450h. I'm glad that I didn't gave up although rude salesman and select BMW or Mercedes. I think I got much more value and pleasure for my money with Lexus. Once more, thank you guys for your support. Without reading your comments I might not ever get back to the local Lexus dealer. I'll post pictures of my new car in the near future.

Congrats on the purchase and good for the dealership taking care of you.
Again, the process can be so draining it's nice when you have a happy delivery of your vehicle. It always makes you feel better about the purchase when you feel good about where you bought.
Thanks for posting back and enjoy your new RX - we'll keep an eye out for the pics!!
