I'm breaking down the sales numbers more and wow this is insane. While some said Lexus needs to enter this market, Lexus themselves said this market has awful sales showings and it not necessary for them.

Amazingly the RX outsells the ENTIRE cute-ute segment

Upon further analysis AMAZINGLY the RX 450h which has a higher base MSRP than all the cute utes OUTSOLD all of them.

The RX has been the sales leader generation after generation. A combination of price, standard feature content, luxury name plate has much to do with its sales numbers of this soft roader vs. the competition.. The above mentioned has been a win win formula for the Lexus pursuit of sales.

Thanks for the research and numbers. One only wonders what they would be if the (h) came out same time as the regular RX350 and production was not restricted based on battery availability.

Thanks for the info and the research! To me it's more amusing that Enclaive outsold both MDX and X5 combined almost 2 to 1. Sales to China must be rocking...

Results are for sales here only. The Enclave is a superb vehicle kudos to Buick. More bad news for Acura.

Acura goes slowly but steady down the toilet. It's execs should be castrated for allowing the silly California blonde to come up with ZDX monstrosity, and for further ruining MDX (look for 2010 model). Not to mention the new "laughing transformer" grills they push thoughout the line.
