Default Side View Monitor

I got a call Friday saying our RX should be in next week. As I was going over the paperwork tonight I noticed it has the Wide Angle Side View Monitor. I had forgotten about this option. Do any of you have an opinion to share on your experience with this feature?

I rarely use it. Had an EX35 before... that system was much more useful. It had a birds eye view that looked down on the car with 4 cameras... front, rear and both sides. Very useful when you're parking and don't want to bang up your rims.

I use it everytime I park by the sidewalk. It is wonderfull thing!!! If people are interested in not grinding their wheels, it is a thing, that you want on all of your cars!

i have the side view monitor, and only used it once or twice while parallel parking. nice to have but not necessary. the way the mirrors show your position, you always think you are closer to the curb than you really are. no problems with curbing, even if you don't use the side view monitor. but that's my experience with them.

when paralel parking, camera is not needed, but when u have spot to park normaly, in front driving way (don't know how it should be called) that is the time when this camera goes in handy!
