There is no filter to change in the hybrid power Transfer unit. Just drain it and refill it. It has a lower drain hole and an upper fill hole. They cannot flush it and if they offer to they are lying to charge you more money.

You have 3 options for the RX350 as the dealer is lying to you. You should never go back to their service department again.
. Call local Toyota dealers to find one that will do it, or find an independent Toyota or Japanese car specialist that will do it (they probably need a BG transmission or similar fluid exchange machine) or find an independent transmission shop that can do it. It should cost less than $300..
Even if they offer to do just a drain and fill or a couple of drain and fills of the RX350 transmission that is better than nothing.
The 2015 RX350 has the same 6 speed automatic transmission as almost every other Toyota and Lexus with the V6 engine since 2007. Nothing changed in 2015. It is in millions of vehicles.

Little known secret, here is how you know a dealer is lying to you. Are you talking to them? Yes? They are lying.

Many members have used Toyota dealers for service and shopped pricing between them and Lexus. I took my Mother's 2010 ES350 to Toyota for a transmission flush (and coolant & brake as a discount package) before she gave it to her granddaughter. It only had about 45000 miles at the time. Still running great many miles and 6 years later

Clutchless,
to be more clear..... b4 Lexus said they didn't service the 2014 transmission fluid, i had contacted toyota but a few days later Lexus straight up said no and that if I 100% demanded it, it would be $1200.....I wouldn't have thought of calling Toyota back....so again, I very much appreciate your input because I had already told my mom she was SOL and to just keep driving it....so many many thanks amigo, you're the man

also, what thread would I put in about Lexus insignias....the 2010 my mom gave me, its driving me nuts that the hood and trunk Lexus logos look ****.....and when I was at Lexus yesterday, they said the back cost like $100 something and the front was like $300 and something just to buy.....I'm trying to find out if its an easy job and where I could find the insignias for less....I sure as hell don't wanna pay $500-ish for a couple logos plus whatever it costs to swap them out by a mechanic or body shop

Regarding your wish to change the Insignias, I would look for used ones on eBay or prowl junkyards to pull some yourself. I don't know how difficult it would be to swap them. It may be time to visit a couple of local body shops and inquire. Estimates are free. You can also try some searching on this 3rd gen forum regarding changing the logos although I don't recall anyone else asking about it, but there may be a thread.
Finally you can start your own new thread asking about changing the hood and hatch logos. Good Luck on the next potential new used vehicle.

I did a transmission drain and fill on my new-to-me RX. I am wondering about something. When I took out the plug, I got about 1.5 quarts of oil. (left in photo) and when I took out the red thing, only about half a quart.

Was the red thing loose and that much oil got by ( pretty quickly..) ?

I snugged up the red thing Gently before replacing the plug and refilling with a similar total amount of fluid. I replaced the radiator so I put in an extra 3/4 cup ( similar to what came out of that area )

This seems backwards from other people's cold drain and fill experience. I don't really want to add more new fluid at this time. Should I drain it and refill it with what comes out ? How tight should the red thing be ?

Regarding the red plastic straw, I install it finger-tight then use my 6mm Allen wrench to snug it up just a fraction to ensure it is fully in place. Because it is plastic, you do not want to overtighten it.

My wife's 2015 RX350 FWD with the Aisin U660E transmission consistently drains a total of 2.25 quarts of ATF at each drain-and-fill I have done. Looks to me from your photo that you are right at 2.25 quarts as well. That is indeed normal.

Default Transmission Fluid Change

Should I change the transmission fluid on my 2015 RX 350 with 81,000 miles? Lexus dealer says to do it at 100K but I know it's a closed system. Thanks to all.

What he said above is true. I will add that in my opinion you should get it changed now and that it should have been done around 60,000 miles if you plan to keep it a long time. You want to preserve it by changing it early, not try to fix it by changing it later.
The dealer spouted nonsense stating that the transmission was sealed. Yeah, it is sealed so it does not leak. It has a drain bolt and a fill bolt. So the designers engineers planned for the fluid to be changed. The owners manual states that under severe conditions it should be changed at 60,000.
Check around at other Lexus and Toyota dealers to learn who will do it and how much they charge. Find out if they are doing a drain and fill or a fluid exchange, commonly called a flush. Often this is done on a machine made by a company called BG. That is what my local Toyota dealer does.
Finally here is a link to the giant thread here on the subject, which has many different opinions, as pointed out above.

If you have the few proper tools that are required, ATF drain-and-fill jobs are relatively easy on these vehicles.

Dang sealed transmission. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just bring back the dip stick assembly. You would think a bunch are just lying around somewhere.
