I don't think it's proper to disclose the figures for the simple reasons, .... It could make a previous buyer feel taken, ... cause a person to loose a deal on a car they really want because someone else got it a few bucks cheaper, ...or think a dealer is trying to screw them. Cars sell at different prices in different markets. Someone could pay more then me in a different market but be getting a killer deal for that particular market. I will say this though, ... if you go to Consumerreports.org and sign up for their auto pricing ($13 a year) you can configure any car on line and get the retail and invoice price for the car and all the options plus any dealer holdback. Then you can go to the dealer and make your offer. They haven't been out long enough to sell at invoice but you can get close if you try. Good luck!!!
You can get all the information you mentioned at Edmunds.com for free.

So I think the moral of the story is that the OP had a goal in mind that was comfortable for him and by sticking to his guns he attained it. I think that's great - congrats and enjoy the car.
There was a time when I would try to squeeze every dollar out of the dealers to get the best deal out there. I've learned over time that I didn't need to feel like I won on a one-sided basis. I don't mind if the dealership makes some money. I want the sales person to make some money. I know that they all do. If I think I am paying a fair price for something then I'm happy and I can sleep at night.
With all of that being said - one of the great resources that the forum offers is that contributors can share their success stories and help others determine what might be a fair price that they can expect. As mentioned earlier, each dealer - market area - etc. have their own set of negotiables but I found it extremely helpful when people do post.
I posted my experience some time ago, not because I was proud to show how much I raked the dealer over the coals but because it was the price that was offered to me by the dealer with NO haggling, questions, etc. (well, I did get a few extra hundred off but that's not a big deal). I thought that was valuable information that I could give back to all of the folks on these boards that have helped me so much.
Either way, just like anything, when I look at the 'prices' that people paid for any car on a message board I always drop the high and low numbers. Most of the 'too good to be true' prices are accompanied by a post count of 1 and they never return so you can take from that what you will.
So if the OP doesn't want to post, that's up to him/her. It would be great to see what your experience was but no one should be upset if you don't want to share.
Most of all - enjoy your new ride!! There's lots to love![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Out of the 5 CA dealerships I emailed I couldn't get any near invoice, hmmm. Out of the three Phoenix area dealers I talked with only one would accept my offer and that was a day later. When I started this thread is was just to inform you that I was now a happy owner. I didn't mean for it to get all pricey. I paid $486 over invoice. That was a good enough deal for me to buy. I'm trying to get pics today and will post them.

Wow - sweet color. Love the close up of the logo!
Enjoy the ride and don't worry about the money thing. We're all just excited for ya and wanted to hear how you did. Everyone likes to live vicariously through a good negotiator
Sounds like you got a great deal -especially on the hybrid.
Enjoy the buggy and see ya 'round.
