I did it
Walked away from the dealer yesterday after we couldn't came to terms. About 6pm last night I got a call from the same dealer telling me he would take my offer. I returned and bought my Matador Red Mica over Parchment Leather RX450H.

Good for you! I have never understood the American consumer's eagerness to part with their money when it comes to vehicles. We waited four months for our target price. I suspect you will enjoy your RX even more knowing you purchased it on your terms.

I agree! There is a certain satisfaction you have everyday knowing you got a good vehicle at a good price

I don't think it's proper to disclose the figures for the simple reasons, .... It could make a previous buyer feel taken, ... cause a person to loose a deal on a car they really want because someone else got it a few bucks cheaper, ...or think a dealer is trying to screw them. Cars sell at different prices in different markets. Someone could pay more then me in a different market but be getting a killer deal for that particular market. I will say this though, ... if you go to Consumerreports.org and sign up for their auto pricing ($13 a year) you can configure any car on line and get the retail and invoice price for the car and all the options plus any dealer holdback. Then you can go to the dealer and make your offer. They haven't been out long enough to sell at invoice but you can get close if you try. Good luck!!!

Sorry about the pics but I've been drooling a lot. This car is so different from what I've been driving before. It is in another category and I like it. I like the comfort, the detail for lines lining up, gaps being the same from start to finish, and the finish is outstanding. Now to get an all weather liner for the rear cargo area, load the airplanes and go flying. I must be getting old
