How do I reverse the North / South orientation of the 2010 RX350 Nav map, so N is reversed from S?

You can have the map north up or heading up, and you change it by clicking on that icon. You can't flip the north/south orientation.

If i am traveling south and flip to "heading up", then is that the same as "South up"?

Yes, whatever direction you car is heading will be "up" on the map display. So you have 2 options, North as "up" or car heading as "up". I originally tried the normal map reading style with North as up on the NAV display, but quickly switched to car heading as up since that matches what I see out the windshield.
