Here is a picture of mine from last weekend. I will probably stick with vinyl so the snow doesn't get caught/freeze up there. It wouldn't support it. A metal guard would. And vinyl can be squeezed through the openings without having to remove anything. It took me about 20 minutes.

I agree with using the plastic. You can get it in there without taking things apart and much easier to handle. I, unfortunately, bought the galvanized metal, sprayed it black and scratched my hands up getting it in there. What a PITA!

Anita....you didn't have to take any of the pins/screws out? that sounds like my kind of install!

No, I didn't remove anything. I cut the vinyl, folded it in half and pushed it through the vent with the folded side in. Maybe it would have been easier if I started at the end and pulled to the other side. I started in the middle.

Looks good guys. The only thing I don't like are the cable ties. Anyone got other suggestions for replacements?

The ties on mine are black to match the vinyl. Still, you would have to crane your neck to see them. Purpose served.

You don't see the black ties unless you get on your hands and knees and look under the car.

Black vinyl gutter guard? From Home Depot?

I picked mine up at Ace Hardware. Home Depot didn't carry it by me. Another alternative is Lowe's.

Here are pictures of the label and guard. It comes in a roll.
