Default Loq MPG in cold weather

I live in New England and it's been pretty cold the past few weeks. The last 3-4 tanks averaged about 15-16 MPG. Same regular driving habits as before. Anyone else have the same problem?

This is perfectly normal on every single gas engine. Cold starts and short trips will have the biggest impact as you driving in a warmup mode (most fuel consumption).

Hard for me to compare to you 350 numbers, but the Hybrid for me went from 29-31 to 25-26 mpg on a daily 12 mile run on a cold morning start. Temps creeping in the low 20's F.

Now, my average MPG has dropped to 12-14. I expect this to happen.

Yesterday for the third fill up in a row I compared what the computer said I was getting to what the math (gallons pumped VS miles driven) said I was getting. Guess what? The computer was off each time by almost 1.5 to the down side. I'm actually getting better than it says. According to the computer I was down to 28.5 avg between fillups. According to the math, I was getting 29.9 . Now to be fair, I buy Shell 93 Octane and sometimes top off every few days because of price fluctuation and gas wars so I rarely go over 1/2 tank before topping off. And a lot of my driving is cold start and less than 3 miles. So the computer might not be getting a fair shake on getting it right.

Of course this is the 2010 450h but the principle might still apply to the 350.

I am in NE as well, every winter, my MPG goes down about 1.5 to 2 MPG, so its prefectly normal.

I remember you're in the center of the city most of time, right? I probably will get the worse results if spending all my time in Manhattan.

Likely the wrong place to post, but my 450h has gone from 27-28 mpg to 24 in mixed driving. Can't see much difference between premium, mid, and regular fuel.
