Default What is the easiest way to replace the fog lights?

I wanted to replace the stock fog lights with some PIAA 3000K blubs. Is there an easier way to do it without taking off the bottom plate? It is very cold outside, and didn't want to do all that work.
Any help guys.

The tech that replaced my fog lights just reached down and was able to change both bulbs.

Granted he had really long arms as well.

For hids? I believe bulb size is h11 and stocks are 4300k. If you do change it pls post pics of the swap.

I replaced mine with 4800k. They match the HID headlights much better than the stock bulbs. I came in through the bottom by removing the bottom skirt and the two lower pieces of each front wheel well. Not the easiest things to get to. I never thought of going from the top. Either way you have a lot of plastic to remove. Looks alot better. Be sure to stick to the 55 watt bulbs. I got a set from e-bay for $8 incl shipping. They actually work. Good Luck.

just to confirm your question, you are looking to install a PIAA 3000K HID kit correct? because just fitting in 3000K bulbs into the fog lights won't work, you need the HID ballasts to go with the HID bulbs. either way, you need to take panels off to do this, so i would recommend you do the install properly.

55 watt bulbs? Isn't that a tad bit hot? I've used 35watt bulbs in my fogs where originally it was a 55watt system, and it's worked fine. I'd be worried of 55watts being too hot for the housing.

Yes, 3000K HID Gold ion kit, ballasts and blubs. I will wait till the weather gets warmer before doing this upgrade.

Did you use a 55watt hid system or 55watt halogen bulb?

Oh okay fosho. 55 watt halogen is prime!
For HID though a 35 watt is more than enough because it'll get hot.

Should be H11 for fogs.
