Default What music are you currently spinning on your ipod in your RX?

Are many of you taking advantage of the USB port and cranking some music from your Ipod?

Definitely. I had the Icelink in my 04 but I like the USB port, easier to use. Only glitch are errors every once in a while, usually when I leave the iPod connected, turn the RX off and back on. It says to consult the manual. I might transfer my music to a flash drive so I can leave it connected all the time.

As far as the music I play, it depends on my mood

Hey, I prefer a latin jazz playlist.
BUT...as with several other folks, I don't use an ipod in the car. I use itunes to organize playlists, and then drag the playlists to a 16 gig thumbdrive that I plug into the car USB port. Nothing to charge, and no extra buttons to push...just select the USB port on the car radio, then select a playlist folder and songs. Works great.

I discovered a band out of CA called Bigelf that sounds like the Beatles, Black Sabbath and some progressive bands rolled into one.

Very often my 13 year old son makes me listen to the hits station 20 on 20 on XM when he gets in the car. I like Alt Nation.

I'm old enough to appreciate this...I got some old mix-cassettes (some over 30 years old) that were recorded from a variety of LPs. I used to listen to some of these cassettes on a deck I slung under the dash of my first car, a used 1971 Chevy Malibu, during my college days.

Converted these into MP3s, loaded onto my iPod. Tried some of them for the first time in my 12-speaker rig on the RX-350. They still sound fresh. Very good quality sound.

Love it.

I don't use an iPod in the RX -- I plug a 16 gig flash drive directly into the port and control it from the screen. That way I can just leave the drive connected and never have to worry about where I left my iPod.

I've been on a Bonnie Tyler kick lately, along with some Bach violin by Rachel Podger

A little bit of everything, mid 1970s to early 1980s. Soul, funk, Philly sound, disco, some pop, a bit of classical, gospel. I have some 30 hours digitized, with maybe another 30 to go.
