Mudflap/splashguards

No, I don't play soccer!
Well, they're made in Canada so the price difference makes sense. Carson couldn't get them for me so I went with Sewell and paid a little more than that. Wish I knew about the Canadian dealer beforehand But on the upside, the dealer installed them for me no charge

I just called Richmond Hill in Toronto and ordered the Lexus part mudguards cost was $95 + shipping.
Getting a call back on Tues when the I guess part manager Paul is in on delivery time and shipping cost.
Sewell lists the mudguards at $220 and club discount and sale price is $171 + shipping.
Somehow a big difference from the $95+shipping from Canada.
Go figure!
Big difference in cost so I'll save the Lexus credit card points(can't use the points at Richmond Lexus) for future service and/or parts.

You still get the points if you uses your Lexus CC, but they will charge you an international transfer fee, so better use a CC that doesn't charge that. So no reason to pay more if not needed. I got mine within a week back in the beginning of the year. These guys are very good(Richmond Hill in Toronto).

I guess you'll be posting the installation instructions with pictures for everyone now
I know the guards are made in Canada. Still I can't believe the price difference compared to the US. Congrats on getting such a good deal.

Interesting that my old '00 RX 300 (and my wife's '02 Toyota Highlander) both came with mud flaps, but the newer RX's don't. It would make some sense if mud flaps decreased gas mileage, but the effect is apparently negligible... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...6221948AA5EpkL
Looks like it was just another cost-cutting measure.
I'm watching to hear how the installation goes. Do you need to take the wheels off to install them?

No mention of wheels having to come off.
Turn the wheels out in front.
I'm hoping a stubby phillips head or offset screwdriver will work on the rears.
