Just got a postcard in the mail today from Lexus - Free maintenance on any new purchase and it last the duration of the lease or financing. I think up to 36 months for a lease and 60 months for finance. Keep your eye out in the mail if you're a previous owner or perhaps maybe even those on their mailing list.

At 300 dollars an Oil Change. Plus some other work. Your looking at about 5000 dollars over 5 years. Or 2000 if you go to a Toyota Dealer.

$300 an oil change? $1000 a year in maint? Our 2010 RX450h is our fifth Lexus and I've never spent anywhere near that amount.

Toyota syn 0W-20 oil, part #00279 from a Toyota dealer, $70/case of 12 quarts including local 8.25% sales tax. RX450h takes 7 quarts so that's $41 per change.

Lexus filter element with flat washer, online, approx $7 after shipping fee (bought 6 at one time).

$20 labor for a local mechanic to put it on a lift, drain the old oil, replace oil filter element, and insert 7 quarts.

Total with all Toyota/Lexus recommended oil & parts: $68.

Over 5 years at average 12k miles/year = 60k miles = 6 oil changes at Lexus' new recommended interval = $408 total cost.

$300? Do you at least get two Danish with the coffee? lol
