A few weeks ago, we had a nor'easter here on Long Island, during which I received a warning message through the Nav system of "severe weather nearby" with the prompt to view it on screen.
Ever since, I receive the same message within minutes of starting the car.
Anyone else having this problem? It's starting to get annoying now. Is there some way to reset it?

This feature seems to be able to disable... I just cannot remember where exactly it is... somewhere in the option. Please check the owner manual.
I guess I'm getting old.

I was experiencing that too last week. I'm thinking it may have picked up the flood watches in the area. It hasn't happened in the past day which coincided with the watches being dropped.
Most of the time the warnings have come up hours or days after bad weather so it's one feature I am not renewing.

???
I didn't recall how I turned that off. But I did remember my weather warning never showed up again after doing "something" in the Setup. Anyway, my XMWeather was over in July 2009, I cannot try it anymore.
Why not giving it a try? If not, why not checking your owner manual?
