I'd like to take them off but taken the star bolts off doesn't do it.
I don't see any end caps or anything.
Nothing in the manual.

Nevermind.
Saw the instructions here.
I'm keeping the crossbars on.

Yep, not fun to do. I took off the crossbars on the '04. That was definitely scary. Those end caps can do some damage when being removed and/or get damaged.

Yeah,I'm not going to do it.
It's not that big of a deal to me.
If I want them off,I have just over $300 so far in Lexus credit card bucks and I'll let dealer service do it.

Anyone, how does installing/removing the OEM crossbars compare with their Thule equivalent?

Joeb427, my '10 came without the crossbars. I have no use for the roof rack anyway. Now I debated going naked up top like my '99 but I think I'll keep the rails.

I may have the crossbars taken off but never the rails.
Especially now with the silver very close to the color of the Tungsten Pearl.

I agree. The rails match almost perfectly with Tungten Pearl. Great color choice Glad Lexus painted them this time around.
