Shocks are Kyb gas shocks, decent quality I guess. I could say noise has come only from right side.
In this case I could rule out the interior parts but with the topic I do not do any sudden action for the noise.
About 3 weeks has passed and I haven't heard a thing back there since I wrote above.

I agree. When I had high mileage Rx400h, I had to replace some suspension components. The aftermarket parts were so well priced I did not even consider replacing only bushings with the exception of the rear wheel carrier lower bushing. I installed Febest bushing in the carrier which wore out in months and had to put original part there. That worked until I traded the vehicle.

It's been 18 months and the squeaking noise is back in the driver's side rear.
Just reporting that it's really loud now. VERY LOUD. Anytime there is a speed bump or some kind of parking lot bump or dip it makes the noise. Sounds very cheap. My 250K miles old Gen 1 RX doesn't do this............

Hi Folks,

New to forum here, came here for different problem but found this thread. I too have this squeaking sound from the rear when going over a speed bump, hump or dip on my 2014 RX350. Started to notice the sound at around 40k miles. I always thought that it was the rear shocks, after I replaced the rear shocks at 65K miles, the squeaking is still there but a lot quieter. New shocks limit the the car from bouncing up and down hence the squeaking is less loud. At this stage we're just gonna live with it.

Can you please share? Which aftermarket parts are you referring to. Any hyperlink you can provide?

I am sure he meant the rear trailing arms. It is the circled part in post 89.

I read that. But that post deals with just the bushing. I thought we had to replace the whole trailing arm. On my Gen 1 RX, I've tried aftermarket bushings before. They were all bad. Too stiff and too easy to crack and break.

That was what was indicated, you need to replace the entire rear trailing arm as it is almost impossible to replace just the bushing and that there are aftermarket rear trailing arms available for a reasonable price. Any local repair shop could install them for you or if handy, do it yourself.

You can look it up without the part number using one of the big discount OEM Lexus parts sites. https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/ https://www.mylparts.com/

However you will find the cost for the aftermarket is so much cheaper.....under $100 vs $over $300

I see that aftermarket supplier Mevotech makes them as the 2014-2018 Toyota HIghlander now has the same rear suspension as the 2010-2015 RX. Saw them on eBay for about $82 each. Also at PartsGeek https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts...ad=47433948492
Has anyone tried this Mevotech part? Any reviews or thoughts?

Also can I just do one side or should I do both sides like a strut? Finally, do I need to do a wheel alignment after replacing?

I replaced my OEM one with the Mevotech a few months ago. There's a thread about it here: link

Seems to be working fine for me, and I picked up one for the other side I plan to install before winter gets here. I didn't do an alignment, at least not yet. No good reason for not doing it, just haven't yet.

Default Found squeek

See the attached instruction on how to mount the rear struts.
I had a hard time taking the bolt out, because it was so thick with rust it became one with the bushing, so the bolt only came out after soaking it with penetrating oil.
While turning the bolt, the whole rubber bushing ripped, this was the cause of the squeaking.
In the instruction, you can see that they've changed the bolt torque and type of bolt.
