You are well within your rights to reject the proffered car as non-conforming goods. Their failure to show you the extent of the damage is great cause for alarm. The few weeks additional delay in getting a car pales in comparison to the years you will own the car. Wait a little while longer and get another vehicle, and while you are at it, get the VIN number of this one so they don't try to deliver it to you next month as new (and verify it yourself).

One of the benefits of purchasing new, is not having to worry about what happened to the car before you got it.

Just take it. So what if you're buying a brand new luxury car. Just accept that stuff happens and stop being such a worry wart. Its only a dent in your new never driven car.
Wow that was hard to type without breaking out and laughing.
I'm a bit surprised that you even have to think about this. The answer is, IMHO obvious. Don't take it. I wouldn't take a dented $1 can of coke let a lone a $40-50K luxary car.
Anyway cheers,

Thank you for the great responses! I went to the dealer yesterday and got a brand new vehicle instead. I let them know that i didn't want to take delivery on a damaged good, and they found me another one.
On a side note the iPod doesn't skip when searching songs! very happy about this knowing that i have seen a couple posts on this issue.
If anyone is looking in to buying a new lexus within the next couple of weeks/month ping me if you want to know which car has the dent.
Thanks again and I am happy officially being apart of the lexus family!

Pictures coming soon. Waiting for the perfect sunny day.
I'm not too sure if there is a firmware update for the fix. Is there a way I can look at my firmware version #?

First, grats on the new RX!
Second, define "skip" - lol
The iPod problem is that it autoplays the first song at the top of each page when scrolling. When browsing artists it'll autoplay the first song in the top artist on each page scroll.

Thanks! I am not experiencing the problem you explained where the top song auto plays when scrolling through the menus. I have even tried this within each of the playlists (albums, artist, playlists, songs, etc.) It just keeps playing the song that is currently playing until I select something new.
Let me know if there is any information I can provide to help get this fixed in all of your RX's. I know that this would have been one of my biggest pet peeves.
