so from everyone's input, I found a conclusion. Lexus try to reduce the road noise by play with windshield material. The trade-off is reducing the intensity of windshield. I think it is real unacceptable.
GPS and Windshield are two big failures on the Lexus RX2010 by my 1 year experience.

Toyota/Lexus does not manufacture windshields, so here's a link that decodes the markings commonly found on them.

I just cleaned my windshield of bug splats I had from a recent weekend getaway.
Sad that along with the bug splats there were a few nick and tiny scratches from kick ups that I thought was bug matter.
Less than 1K miles on our RX and I can see this windshield will have a lot of small nicks and scratches in a short time.
I cleaned the front painted area and looked very closely and didn't find any nicks. The windshield can be softer than the paint, can it?

After getting off the thu-way, the transmission blew !

Dent repair = 450.00
Clear-bra replacement = 100.00
New transmission cost = 0 under warranty

The dent was not turned over to the insurance company with my 500. deductable. I felt I'd be further ahead in the long run paying out-of-pocket.

Of course the real loss was my temporary lack of confidence in Lexus/Toyota products.
talk about bad luck, beyond dent, how in the world with such a low mileage transmission can fail. hope it was a defect and not a trend.

I've had Toyota products for the last 20 years and never had a tranny fail. The dealer has told me recently that so far mine was the only one that he's heard of failing. I've not read of one other transmission having failed on this forum. At first I was very upset at lexus, but I must say they've made it right with me, and renewed my confidence in Toyota products. They had my car back to me after the repair in 3 working days. During that time of course they gave me a loner.

Yes it was a bad luck day for me.
