What a fun thread!!!! We just bought a tungsten pearl/black interior rx 350. Hubby loves it, we both drive it! One thing hubby said tho, "no body side molding". I agree! If you are a 20 something with the buying power to own one of these cars, that's "hot" in and of itself! Get what you want and strut baby strut!

I don't mean this topic to be inflammatory at all, but does it seem to anyone else that the RX series seems to be a woman's car? I say this as a single guy in his mid 20s who may very well buy one before the year is out. I don't want the cost or gas consumption of a GX, but I still want more storage and carrying capacity than the IS. I can see myself being the recipient of a lot of friendly ribbing if I drive up in an RX one day (especially as I'm in an Army unit that is all about trucks). Such is life...

Hi, I am getting my RX very soon as I wait for the offer to be done. I hear alot of flowing discussions about " O, RX is for woman and it's a nanny car". I mean REALLY?!~~ Lets forget about the 1st or 2nd generation. Just look at the third Generation RX, If this is a new model from Lexus, would you say from an overall point of view, it is a NANNY car? of MOM's CAR? Well, my own opinion is I LOVE THIS CAR! the look is sexy, and more sexy with the 19". And the ride is just so smooth! Please allow me to hear your inputs!
p.s. i am first year university student 19 years old~ and I think it looks sharp~!

3rd generation is definately the least feminine of them all. the first being the most, but some people might disagree with me. The rounded corners of the 1st generation made it feminine and the stigma just kind of stuck to the RX.
It isnt a woman's car, it is a great family car. Just so happen that many wives drive it.

The new ones are definitely a lot sportier looking. The new RX is more angular where it needs to be. I saw a 2nd Gen parked next to the 3rd Gen and I must say that the new one doesn't look gender specific at all. Very futuristic and clean looking.

Congrats. Make sure you post pictures of that manly colored RX. I can see it now, a whole new discussion about what colors are masculine/feminine
