I guess I could go with that. Although it's $50 for a pair, one year warranty requires you to pay an extra $15 to get a new bulb...Everything is making getting the Tom's 5500k bulbs seem like a better/safer more reliable idea...haha
Damn you Garax for not making 5000k bulbs! haha

which bulb you get of course is entirely up to you. just because it's got a Tom's label on it doesn't mean it's more reliable. if a bulb blows, it blows (regardless of brand - but you would think a reliable brand is better made and would last longer).

my thoughts on bulbs would be to get the cheap ones and see how they perform. if they blow quickly, you are out only $50 and can easily afford another $50 for new ones (or go the Tom's route if you decide that is what you want). if a Tom's bulbs blow, you are out $300, and would need to spend another $300 for replacement Tom's (that's $600 in total!).

unless your research shows that Tom's is reliable for that price, i'd get the cheapy bulbs first, then wait and see. but it's up to you to decide. just throwing my 2 cents here.

He makes somewhat sense on that one. Check V-LED- I believe they have 5000k D4S bulbs available.

You already know what I plan to install in my fogs one I get the car!

V-Leds have 1 year warranty, very good company.
As for bulbs, I have had my PIAA blubs working from 2006 as DRL, went from my last RX to this one. Talk about long lasting.

Is this the 2010 RX? The panels on the bottom seem a lot different with no space to stick my hands through. Are they removable without removing the bumper?

I personally think that in a long run, hid bulbs create too much heat for the inner reflective part of the housing, thus may need replacement later. There are cpl other options besides hid, just a small tip!

STW2046:

I see that you have 19' PRIVAT KONTAKTS ROMIK and SS POLISHED RUNNING BOARD. Would you mind posting pictures of both of them? The stock wheels, imo, are just blah.

sorry nope. Surface temp of halogen bulbs go for around 250-600 degree.
For hid bulbs, they go for around 750 degree.
Thus, they will degrade your fog light housing way faster than you'd think.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the pictures.

I am thinking about this Cayenne style look without body mouldings...just the wheels and red brake calipers. Can the stock wheels powder coated? Can the stock calipers be painted? Any special paint?
