From what I recall, installation of HIDs is pretty straightforward. It's finding a place to mount the ballast that takes time. A few members were able to get to their fog lights by reaching in from up top in front of the engine. Others went through the bottom. Both will require removing covers.
Yeah, I took a look from my engine bay, I think the installation is not a problem, but I would really hope to see some pic of where to mount the ballast.

I have placed my order for extrem kit last week, and waiting for it to arrive. If by any chance that you have any pic of where to mount the ballast in RX350, that would be great.

Can't wait to get the kit installed.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any pictures for you of the ballast installation but you can install them near the headlights on your frame in a safe spot via the double sided tape and zip ties. Once you get to installing them am sure you will find a good spot to mount them to.

Let me know if you have any other installation questions.

vince22:

My pleasure, please let me know what you think once you get your new D4S 5000k HID bulbs installed.

Did you need help with anything in particular as far as the installation goes?

No, was just curious what the whole thing entails. Would be nice to see a pictuired DIY guide so I can size up whether this is something I can take on myself.

konradsa, a few members have installed their fog lights. It's not complicated. You'll have to figure out where to mount the ballasts. Takes maybe less than an hour. I had mine professionally installed since there isn't as much room in front of the engine on the 450h to reach the fog light area. He had to go underneath the engine and through the wheel well. I've changed the bulbs myself a few times since.
