Reason: update
You need to prevent the mice from returning. If you park in a garage, get mouse traps. Also put mothballs or some of the rodent repellents advertised on Amazon. This has happened to several folks and is not uncommon and more common among cars that are not driven that much or where there are lots of rodents.
FYI try editing your post to put it into a more coherent chronological order as it was difficult to follow. Did the radiator fan issue happen after he did the repairs?
For my 2011 Rx350, when it showed up one night, it freaked me out. He forgot to tightly close the fuel cap and that was the issue I was reading from other forums. I did tighten the cap, the person didn't tighten to the point where it clicked, and was the only trouble shoot I did, but all those 3 warnings were still lit. So I went to my local Lexus dealership for my regular service and mentioned it. They ran a diagnostic and the following day I received a call from them. They told me that the reason for my warnings was that my thermostat needed to be replaced. My regular service of less than 200 bucks went up to almost 1000. I guess it's safe to get it diagnosed to make sure the specific underlying issue. I really hope that that was the issue tbh. Better safe than sorry!
I totally agree! I was speechless but I do know that it's going to be "steal"ership price. I think this is my last straw. Time to start researching some local shops that can work with Lexus/Toyota.

Cylinder 1 would be extremely hard to access, as it's at the rear bank, requiring a lot of dismantling to get to. Did you get to the correct cylinder?

Reason: Added quote
I went out to my 2010 Rx350 yesterday and was greeted to three messages when I turned it on:
"Check ABS"
"Check AWD System"
"Check AFS System"
I used the car when running errand the previous day without any incidents and am confused how all three messages could pop up at once. I plugged in my OBDII scanner, but it's reporting no error codes.
How old is your battery? Dying batteries often throw spurious warning messages (and codes) on today's modern vehicles.
About 12-18 months old, so it should still have plenty of life in it....
Also, the CEL is not on, so I'm scratching my head on this. I've booked an appointment with the dealership for next week. They replaced the battery, so hopefully it's as simple as that....
car went into limp mode this morning and popped a CEL. I am confused because upon searching, usually 1 or the other sensor would go, but both at the same time points me in the direction of a wiring issue? is it a single wiring harness which is split to both knock sensors?
I took off the engine cover to look for obvious signs of mice, but didn't see anything. i will get a scope tomorrow to try and look under the upper intake manifold.
