Well, JD, I was going to write about how accidents happen and to take it easy on your one-and-only Dad and its-only-a-car and nobody-got-hurt...and then I saw "Proud Trojan '12" in your sig.
Never mind. You were right the first time - what WAS he thinkin'?

Proud Bruin '70
Father of Proud Bruin '92
LOL.
Just be thankful that Dad and Mom are happy to pop for that expensive education downtown...and make sure you make something from it - so they don't have to change the locks in 2012!

Two months ago, my wife backed up into a parked car, making a large dent on a passenger front door. She thought she had enough room... A few weeks later, and quite a few hundred bucks down the drain, the dent was fixed and the car looking new again. On 4th of July, driving over a Brooklyn Bridge, I saw in a rear view mirror a biker on a '09 Yamaha crash at well over 40 mph with another SUV. The biker got thrown off, the bike tumbled a few times, and then struck at my RX's rear at full speed... Just got it back from the shop (same shop that fixed the door only a few weeks before), after driving a rental Corolla for 2 weeks.
The point is sometimes life comes at you too fast. Just embrace it, and move on. There are more important things in life to maul over.

Haha Jeffmust, I have scholarships and grants to help making being a Trojan possible. Interning and working, I'm paying for my own tuition now as well as monthly payments on my car.
I'm pretty over it already, got a few quotes and I'm taking care of getting the dent fixed for my mom.

This thread can be closed, no more good venting haha
Lesson to be learnt:
Never park car halfway in driveway under garage door, and never put garage door opener in pocket, and no matter what, your parents will be your parents at the end of the day and you gotta love them no matter what they do.
And I'm stupid for letting something small and pointless really get to me haha
