Default RPM's in Drive

We have a 2010 AWD RX350 and I noticed recently that when in Drive doing around 60mph the rpm's run about 2000. That seems high to me. The car feels like it needs another gear. Can anyone confirm or tell me what is expected at this speed. I do not drive it daily, belongs to the wife.

The gearing is fine. You're just used to cars that have longer gearing. My GTO spun 2000 at 80mph. My G35 spun 3000.

That sounds great. My 00' RX runs at almost 3000rpm going 80, it's got taller gearing than the newer models.

2000 sounds normal.
