My uncle and I once beat a ferrari in his Acura TL, but the ferrari was probably doing below 2-3k and the Acura was red-lining every gear. The funniest part was my little cousin in the back seat making faces at the guy driving the ferrari and yelling "we won"...lol he's only 5.

In 1952 my Dad was transferred to Rhine Main AFB in Germany and the 1st year we lived in Bushlag, a German village outside the base. He had my 1st two wheeler waiting there for me and I can still remember racing another kid down a pasture hill way too fast. I wasn't 5 but was only 8. I can still remember thoughts of deciding where the safest place to land would be, and it was a 'Honey Pot' hill. They were what the farmers collected to be hauled off in the 'Honey Wagon'. How many people know what that was ??? Left me kinda ripe. I remember really wanting to win and all of a sudden there was a fence at the bottom of the hill or...... the honey pot hill. Maybe my 1st 'quick' decision
So, racing isn't safe, but it can be a memory later in life. Some smell better than others tho.
