Synthetic polymers are great.
I use Zaino but Rejex and other synthetic polymers work much better than the dinosaur known as Carnauba wax.Though carnauba is a great topper.

Yeah, I used to do a ridiculous amount of coats too. My brother used to joke that water would commit suicide off my car Then I realized it's all about buying the quality stuff. The 450h was done about two months ago but he needs another final sealant/wax before winter. I have a few things in the garage to choose from. I'll probably use Klasse AIO followed by carnuba or Blackfire. The plan was to do it around Thanksgiving but the weather may not cooperate It's ok though because I have put on a few coats already. Plus it'll warm up again soon. Always does around here in November and December.

Crazy question, but does the 2010 RX have clear coat? I'm looking at the Zaino site. I might try some of their stuff. Anyone have any thoughts on how good it is and whether it's better than good old Turtlewax (which I've used for forty years)

thanks for all the replies! I'm definitely too nervous to take my new baby to a regular car wash after what I've read around here before but was curious about this touchless one. After reading this thread, I think I'll be joining the OCD group and just do it myself with the hubbys help. I'm too short to reach the top! lol

But again, thanks for all the info and replies Happy driving!!

I've been using many Zaino products for over 10 years.
Great stuff but follow directions closely.Have to apply sparingly.Less is more with Zaino products.

The surface of my Obsidian Black 2010 RX450h is clear coat. I would think all 2010's are clear coat, but I have no proof of that.

No it is not. Once you pair the BT phone to your car, it will automatically pair after you've started your car.

Hi!
I have 2 phones connected. One is for use in the US when we are in Arizona for the winter and one for our time at home in BC Canada. I usually only have one in the RX at any one time.
I wash my own vehicle and avoid the automatic car washes like the plague. I used to go into the spray washes and spray off all the heavy grit, then use the soapy wash brushes, however I would always spray all the grit and dirt off the wash brush. I really prefer to wash and dry the vehicle at home.
I like to put a coat of polish or wax on twice a year, usually McGuires products, which I have found to be excellent.
Love the RX. Which we bought from a dealer in California. Saved a bundle over Canadian prices for the same vehicle.
Happy New Year to All!

So if I have two phones already paired and I want to switch to the other phone I have to reconnect/repair each and every time?

For example, I have two phones, an iphone and a nokia 6085

I have it paired with the iphone.

I restart the car and want to use the nokia 6085 instead.

The only way this is possible is if I re-connect the nokia 6085 since the iphone was the first phone connected?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Default Pairing with bluetooth.

If you enter your car and only one of your phones is turned on, it should automatically connect. Then you can make and receive calls as normal.
Do you need to have 2 phones turned on at the same time. I don't know what will happen if you have both phones trying to connect? Try it and maybe the system will handle calls from either phone. Let us know what happens??
Cheers and happy new year!
Jim.

I was wondering about this also. If Husband and Wife are in the RX and each has their cell phones, what I'm curious about is if you're receiving a phone call. How do you ensure that each phone will receive the call through the bluetooth??
