The airbag sensor is there already!

But how do you (the computer) know who is working the Navi (driver or pass)?

I really hate that too. So before my trip I create "all" destinations that I plan to go to and download it to the navi.

The remote starter thing is really stupid...

Just putting something heavy in the passenger seat can trip the sensor. So how can the car tell the difference? Prestigious Society is the way to go if you really want the override.

I know of the kit.
$349 and the install is over my head and I really don't want my dash taken apart for fear of creaks and rattles.
I've read getting the NAV unit out to plug the override system in is a two man job too.
Also read if you have a problem with the NAV system or monitor, you would have to remove the Prestigious Society unit before going to dealer service to stay in warranty.
I'll have to just use my Garmin.

that is why you need this, available on the land rover and S class

perhaps only the controller can be used/seen from the passenger side

Very nice!
Or buy a Lexus in Sweden and some other countries and no lockout.

I mentioned the PS kit because some people really want to be able to enter addresses/dial numbers while driving. It's not my thing so I'll keep my money in my wallet and my eyes on the road

RXSF, that Land Rover screen is pretty funky. I have to ask, where do we draw the line with all these gadgets?

haha yeah, its some crazy technology. It does seem to solve the problem about distracting drivers. Its a great idea for the passenger to be able to watch a dvd in motion as long as the driver only sees the nav screen.

Took my RX450 in to have the Viper Smart Start installed today. Total failure after 8 hours. Viper Corporate had no clue of problem.

Their just trying to make a few buck here and there, making us buy enform. remote start is pretty much useless, unless u live in crazy cold places. i just get in turn on and wait 30sec than head out with the the heater on max and fan on speed 3. just speed a little to warm the engine and ur set. but the hybrid will be a ***** to warm up.
