Recently in the past few days, I hear little squeak sounds when driving. They are very low volume but I hear them...usually hear them on bumpy roads. The car is new with 700 miles and it has been very cold in new York if that makes a difference. It sounds like coming from the drivers side front wheel.

 

the rx gets squeaks everywhere. here is a list from various complaints on this site.

rear suspension
rear hatch
rear seats
front seats
dash
moonroof

the quietness of the rx actually hurts its quality since all the little noises come up.

 

Coming to think of it, could be from the dash...but as long as they are not major issues mechanically, and are just little sounds, I am fine with it...

 

very common, i also have it. the best way i can describe the noise is 2 pieces of styrofoam rubbing together.

No squeaks,rattles or creaks....yet and it's been cold.

 

Yes exactly like my sounds...I tried twisting the parking brake a little and the sounds seem to have went away...but not sure yet if they will come back.

 

I hope my new RX 450h I'm picking up tomorrow is the same. I'm very sensitive to creaking noises etc. and they drive my batty.

 

Well even though it has been less than 300 miles on my RXh...I am quite lucky too. When I had my other two RXs, the first thing I did was remove the Torneau cover (sp?) because it was making all kinds of noises, but Lexus finally perfected this one. I dont hear anything, and I have left it in

 

You guys need to turn up the volume on the radio/SAT/CD

If I turned the stereo down/off, the sound of the ICE kicking in or the droning from the regenerative brakes would be distracting enough.

Not to mention the incessant whining sounds coming from the passenger seat (oops, never mind - that's just the wife)

 

socaljd--I hope your wife doesn't get online or you will be checking out the comfort of the sofa! We have 16,000 miles on our RX and no squeaks yet.

 

That's what I like to hear.
