So after owning my 2011 RXh for exactly one month, Ive noticed that the nav screen is slow to respond at times. I thought that the HDD would make it a lot faster than the nav on my old RX which ran on the disc, but Ive noticed that sometimes on the map screen, the circular compass freezes as if the car wasnt moving, and then it will jump a second or two later. That is kind of annoying to me.
Also sometimes when I change the channel using the steering wheel buttons, I dont get the ribbon on the top of the nav screen that says what channel Im on. Seems to me that the nav is doing too much at one time.
thoughts?

Nope, never happens on the RX. Awesome nav system IMO.
In my experience with other nav systems, the unit is often strained when multiple tasks are being performed; this will use much of the units available ram. I.E. routing to a destination, playing music off an Ipod, connected through BT on a call, having the screen set to something else like climate...all these things at once may strain the unit. I haven't witnessed that issue on the RX, but I have seen it with other cars and different units.

Can't speak for the delays in showing the audio channels however, what you describe for the nav map screen could be a result of loss of satellite signal. (You can see this vividly if you drive into a tunnel.) When this happens are you in an area with lots of trees, tall landmarks, etc that could limit the number of satellites that the receiver can see? Also, have the dealer check the antenna connection at the antenna and at the GPS receiver.

No delay here either......... Usually connected with bt and listening to SAT. Watching Stocks etc. Never noticed if it does. Sounds like you may have a problem.

I do notice what you are talking about. Looks like I am not exactlly where I should be on the map then 'flash' it jumps ahead and I am caught up. I have gotten used to it.

I have noticed the screen freezing when on xm and the song name not changing when the songs change. It stays that way until I shut off the car and restart. I have never had the nav freeze up.
