Hello all, noticed that "LEXUS" emblem is not there on the back door anymore. Mine is 2011 RX 350awd, built 08/2010. Called the dealer and was told that it was removed for 2011 model. Is that a cost saving move or Lexus now follows BMW and M.Benz style...

whatever the reason is, there is no more

to me that makes sense. you don't see bmw and mb badges, you only see the logo.

i like the logoless look

i painted my rear logo to match body color & front logo to match black grill

it removes some of the blingy hey-look-at-me feel the chrome logos had

Does anyone know if you remove the ones on a 2010 are there holes in hatch for holding them on or are they just glued on

hi, the 2010 rear emblems "lexus" & "rx350" were glued on, same with my 04. Dealer removed both, but you can use a hairdryer to remove them.

I removed both. Everyone knows it's a Lexus and everyone knows it's an RX.

SOOOOOO much easier to wash.

I believe there was an announcement on one of the Lexus websites that said they are not putting the "Lexus" logo on any of their vehicles starting with the 2011 MY. It's not on my GS.

my 2010 was attached on the rear w/ double-sided tape

there were 2 pins on the emblem that fit into 2 holes on the lift gate, i assume for alignment

Just picked up a GS last Tuesday. On Wednesday as I was leaving my office and as I approached my car, I noticed that there was no "Lexus" emblem. I thought that someone "jacked" it, until I got home and looked at the 2011 Lexus brochure and noticed that the emblems are no longer applied.

I'm sure by now, people know a Lexus if they see one.

I was upset initially about the lack of logo but now sort of like it, if for no other reason than I can tell if third gen. is a 2010 or 2011 model. Hopefully the 2012's will be same so will keep you guessing if my RX is a 11 or 12..... sort of feeds ego after paying what we do for these cars. LOL

so - does the 2011 model still have the holes in the tailgate where the badges attach ?
