has anyone done a full LED turn signal swap out? I wanted to but i have no experience with anything like this.
I did a full change out to LED on the turn signals. The rear was the hardest as you have to install load resistors on the line so you don't get hyper flash. Those load resistors get extremely hot so you must be careful where you put them. You can not use cheap bulbs either, they need to be as powerful as possible due to the amber color. In hind sight not sure if it was worth the hassle but, it's done now.
these front lights look awesome! I just got a Black 2010 RX350 and those blinkers and the fog lights being a different color than the headlights are my only real annoyances with the exterior of the car.

Hi, did you only install load resistors in rear? I have to install them in both front and rear to prevent the hyper flash.
It's quite hard to find 7443/7440 amber LEDs as bright as the incandescent bulbs, especially under the sun at noon.
I had bought some from ebay and amazon and they all are okay in the shadow but very weak under the sunlight.
The only one I found bright enough is from store.ijdmtoy.com .
It's really bright even under the sunlight.
But 2 things I don't like:
1. The color is not really amber, more like orange+white.
2. They said "Come with Plug-N-Play decoders so no need to add additional load resistors"
Actually the "Plug-N-Play decoders" are load resistors which were wrapped by some black plastic.
That's okay since load resistors are always needed, but they use a special connector to connect the load resistor and LED, so you cannot use any other LED with this load resistor.
This LED only got 2 stars on Amazon since they lie about "No Resistor Need".
BTW, I heard Putco Plasma and Putco Neutron are very bright. Does anyone try them? Thanks.
Feb 07, 2015 Update:
Just bought a pair of Philips T20 amber LEDs from Japan.
This LED is truly bright.
I think it might be the same bright as ijdmtoy's LED or brighter, and with better color.(True yellow, not like ijdmtoy's white+orange)

Can you provide us with a link for where you bought the bulbs from?
And were any resistors or anything needed or just simple plug and play?

I bought the bulbs from Rakuten Global Market (Japan). http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/wattsu/item/12763x2/
Resistors are always needed unless you use LED flasher. But I don't know where it is, so I still used the resistors.
Is the '15's front blinker 7444NA the same bulb size as the rear blinker WY21W(7440)?
Update:
'10-'12 RX 350 both front and back turn signals are 7440 bulbs.
The oem '13-'15 front 7444NA is dual filament and the rear oem 7440 is a single filament as it only acts as a turn signal/emergency flasher.Isn't the front only a turn signal/emergency flasher too? What changed with the '13-15 RX?
Yes, definitely an oldie but goodie. How about posting up some pictures for us to see roy777? It'll update the thread a bit. Some of us went with halogen to avoid the whole resistor issue. MEP was the man to get around that and for lots of other RX improvements. Too bad he doesn't visit often.
I recorded some videos at about 2 PM, then you can see the brightness of LED under the sun.
The driver side is always Philips LED, and I only changed the passenger side to compared.
Then I found out that the sun light is still not even on both sides, but I was lazy to adjust the angle of the car, sorry about that.
Those Philips LED's look good! Is there any way to get them to fade like halogens? I got the red ones for my LX tail lights and they're worth the purchase.
A blast from the past thread!

Maybe it turns on for different function in other countries?
For example, the lower red light on the rear bumper. It turns on with the taillight in U.S., but in some other countries, it is the rear fog light.
I still use 7440 LED in my 13' RX's front.

To fade like halogens,
Maybe...dimmable LED? But I have not seen any dimmable LED for car yet.

.
Thanks,Roy.
I thought it was the same bulb but didn't want to take a chance even though that bulb's only function is a turn signal.
My '10 RX had the same turn signal bulb front and back.
