What exactly does this do when I turn it on? The throttle is definitely less responsive but how is driving in the snow improved? AWD on as well?

I believe it only affects the throttle and doesnt do anything to stability control nor AWD.

It is just to prevent wheel slip

Sounds right. I don't think it's really necessary with all the bells and whistles the RX now has. Just go light when accelerating from a start.

imagine us in our 450hs, with eco mode on and snow mode on

driving a 4500lb car with little to no power. haha

Can we turn EV on too so we can go super stealth mode, LOL.

Being part time AWD doesn't make a difference. The RX is solid in the snow. I have to try out hill assist going up the hills when we get some of the white stuff.
