while parked waiting for my kids from school a school bus made a sharp turn and the rear of the bus hit my car, what a way to start the new year... it's my very first accident, I just need some advice on what to do regarding carfax and the value of the vehicle I read somewhere here that accidents like this will decrease the value of the vehicle incase we decide to sell it in the future, talked to my insurance, I don't know if they don't wanna tell me this or they don't know anything about this.
thanks in advance

Get some floss, work it behind a letter and slowly move it back and forth while gently pulling down at the same time, should come off nicely

No, I don't play soccer!
yahj, glad to see you've been made whole again. I hope you enjoy your 'new' RX and have many more accident free miles.
I didn't realize how many people are taking off their nameplates. I'm keeping mine though. I'm a little fond of the blue inside 450h. It's kinda cool The '11s don't have Lexus on the back anymore.

Your RX turned out great. I guess the bottom line is you never know when a carfax report will show up on your car. Two years ago our Jaguar was hit in the rear while in a parking lot. It appeared minor but we got a police report anyway. He said they would hold it and if the other insurance ask for a copy they would process it. The other insurance took care of everything including a rental. The total bill was $3500 plus the rental. I didn't know if the other insurance turned it in to carfax. When we traded it in on the RX they ran one and there was nothing on it about the accident. You never know.

Glad you got your car back and you are as happy as you can be with this. Our 2005 RX330 was hit in the back and the repair cost was <2k car fax hit it for $600 at trade in. I was able to get $500 'diminished value' when the car was hit. Hope it will not show up for you and hope car fax is out of business when you do sell this car.
