I was actually waiting for the GX when I bought my RX.
I was not happy with the price increase and I hated the way the rear door swings out. I also did not like the way the load height was with the folding 3rd row. When you check all the measurements the GX is really pretty much the same size as the RX. It does have a better towing ability but, I don't tow. Gas mileage is bad and I wanted away from the truck like feel.
I am very happy I went with the RX no regrets.

I would get the RX or 4runner, forget about GX. If you really want to take advantage of GX's off road capability, I would think 4runner is a better choice - so you would not feel too bad if your new SUV gets scratched. With all that said, GX is a Lexus with all the goodies and quality, why not if you have the budget!

I have a friend who is looking at both the GX and RX. He is was considering the GX because of the tow rating. I use my RX to tow a 19 ft bowrider with no problem but he thought the GX might be a better option. However, he got sticker shock when he looked at the new GX like CWD he couldn't believe that they were now over 60K.
