Post DRL LED Lights

Hi

Does anybody install on 2010 RX350 DRL LED lights from iJDMTOY
The model that suppose to work is LED_SKU45_R4.
They are with special decoder (which is passive RLC filter).

It is very tempting to change this ugly yellow 9005 to LED but I am not sure if DRL work as normal lights or they have a special configuration.
any advise will be greatly appreciated

That is the same bulb/LED (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-HB3-LE...9005_sku45.htm) that I installed on my RX350 minus the decoder. I just used the LED without using the decoder. Its actually plug and play and you wont visually notice any flickering. See my previous post (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...white-led.html)

The one that JDM toy is selling with a decoder is specific to the IS since the DRL of the IS also functions as high beams unlike the DRLs of the HID equipped RX350s which only function as pure DRL and nothing else.

Thank you so much and I understand that you didn't have any error messages because of changing to LEDs.

I just ordered the 9005 LED bulb from ijdmtoy.com, I was not aware you could get it with out the decoder. I understand it does not need the decoder but will it damage anything if I install it with the decoder on?

Great pictures you can find in the:

I will try different set of 9005s from dealextreme:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/9005-5w...b-dc-12v-41587
as they are cheap and have great output.
I have used H11s as fog and look great.
Will post some pics.

I was aleays under impression that DRL is a long beam headlights running on lower voltage. Was I under wrong impression or these LED DRLs are also going to be my long beam bulbs? And if yes, do they produce enough output for the log beam headlights?

I'm gonna call BS on that. You really think 5 tiny SMD LED's are going to be bright? LOL

There's a reason all those LED shops charge 50$ for a set of REVERSE bulbs alone... and not 9$

On my 2010 RX 350 I have bi-Xeon which means I have Hi and Low as Xeon.
Extra 9005s work only as a DRL and can be switched to LEDs as I don't care for hi light output.
Please check if your car is with b-xeon as there are deferent solutions implemented.

You are welcome to test yourself and you will see how much light they produce.
You can always spend $50 bucks if you wish.
I am happy with ones I've got and never had problems

Cheers

See my post. Easy to change and no special decoder needed.
