after 5000 miles (now i am on 10 000 miles) it began rattle noises in the rear suspension part when driving on low speeds on bumpy roads... it is so annoying...
apart from this, i am too disappointed with the level of noise and stiffness of suspension. i even changed tyres from 19'' to 18''... still does not give the comfort level of RX 2nd generation...
people need smooth, soft and comfortable ride when they plan to purchase RX.
I did not buy an FX i bought RX. Oh my GOD, why my RX is so stiff and bumpy and rattle in the rear makes me madddd

Has your dealer taken a look at it to find out what is rattling? I find the RX's suspension fine for the purpose for which it was designed, I would not want it any softer, otherwise you get to a wallowing type ride. No thanks.

First, try removing the tonneau cover. Next, start looking underneath the cargo area for loose items. There are a few threads on this topic. Some people have padded certain areas. Good luck.

I know I have posted this somewhere else in these threads, but the rattling that you might be hearing may disappear if you put the rearseats down. I had this problem in my '07 RX, and now I seem to be having it in the 2010. I believe there's something with the split folding rear seats that can cause a rattle toward the back of the vehicle. Good luck!

The strap on the left rear shoulder-seatbelt has a retaining clip on the side of the seat. If you don't use it you will get a rattle (at least in my car).
(lowering the seat also gets rid of this particular rattle)

My 459 has about 2k on it and is in the shop for the 2nd time for rattles in the dash. Guess what? The loaner 350 has a rattle in the passenger door! The relentless pursuit of rattles......ROFLMAO!!!

There are alot of things in the rear area of the RX that can cause a rattle. Have you tried removing everything?
I had a rattle last year. Right after I had my tires done. The guys didn't tighten up the spare. And it started bouncing around after few days.
Also when I first bought my RX I had a strange noise coming form both rear passenger doors. After awhile I found the unused seat belts were bouncing off the door panels.
The dealer suggested I use the seat belt holder clips. I asked him where do I buy those. Come to find out the are installed in the rear seats. But were stuffed up in a small cover where you couldn't see them.

I use them. They look like very small pockets sewn on the side of the seat closest to each rear door. Tuck the metal end of the seat belt tongue into the pocket.
Unfortunately, the front passenger seat doesn't have one of those holders - I sure could use one! When there's no one in that seat, the loose seat belt tongue part rattles against the door post.

I think MC5Wes is referring to the "seat belt comfort guide" for the rear seat belts. You will find this tucked up in the downward-facing pocket at the top of the side of the rear seat. Pull it out of the pocket, thread it under the seat belt, then put the belt into the slots.
There's a picture on page 76 of the 2011 RX350 owner's manual, not sure if it's the same page for 2010 or the 450h. It's in section 1-3.
