I just had my windshield replaced at the dealer due to rock damage. They used OEM Lexus glass.
When looking out near the A-pillar and moving my head up and down, I noticed distortion (like looking through bifocals). It was worst right near the A-pillar, about 6 inches from the bottom and gradually got better directly in front of the drivers seat.
I complained and the dealer replaced the glass again. They said they examined three other windows in the shop and all had the same problem. They finally found one that was "good" and installed it for me.
However, I still see some distortion in this area--albeit less than with the first window.
Is this just a problem inherent to the vehicle? Maybe there's a bit of curve near the bottom of the A-pillar that can't be corrected?
