I'm liking my Dunlops. Great in the snow, quiet and not wearing quickly. Other people have said they're happy with their Michelins. Either brand should be fine. Luck of the draw on which ones you get. Just stay away from the Bridgestones.

should make little difference. I feel like people just like Michelines because of their previous experience with them and because they are a trusted tire brand. However, the dunlops seem to be doing quite well.
the dunlops are also low rolling resistance tires (I dont think the stock Michlines are) which "may" contribute to better gas mileage

I currently have about 8800 miles and rotated them once so far. Dunlop does not have a mileage warranty. The Michelins might. Here is the comparison from Tire Rack:

See surveys and reviews after clicking on the respective tires. Dunlaps have virtually no data.

I have the dunlops. Apart from the squealing @ parking lot speed i posted before, they are getting quite loud for a luxury tire after 20k miles. Good part is, they are around 50% of the price of the michelin equivalent. (stock mich are not lrr, btw.)

CPFULLER:
Before spending money and getting disappointed check out the ratings on these tires.....
I had Micheline and Bridgestones, they were very noisy and so so handling.
look at the reviews on the following:

I had a 350 loaner with Michelins (18 inch) and was surprised at the level of tire noise that it had. I have had Michelins on many of the sedans I owned over the years and like them.
Based on my experience to date, if I had to replace my tires I would go with the Dunlops and go play a bunch of rounds of golf with the money I saved!!

Do yourself a big favour and drive a similarly equipped vehicle with both! My RX350 arrived from Japan with Dunlops. i tried to get the dealer to changed them - he claims he called Canadian HQ and they said no..I drove them for about 5,000 km and hated them they seemed very harsh and hit every pothole very hard. I contacted Cdn HQ and complained bitterly about the road feel so they changed them for me --as a loyal lexus customer

dentate, what kind of tires did you wind up getting? Like Bob, I had a 350 loaner with 18" Michelins. Did not like the ride, and I'm a big Michelin fan. I tried to get the dealer to swap the Dunlops with the Michelins at delivery but they didn't have any on the lot. I'm glad I stayed with the Dunlops. If I can get beyond 20K, which is more than any OE Goodyears gave me, I'll be ecstatic. I am considering a different tire, non-OE, when the time comes though. Only the best shoes for my RX

About 17K on the 300 and 330. I might have been able to stretch it another 3K but I didn't want to chance it going into the winter months. On the 300, I went with non-OE Michelins that could have easily gone beyond 60K+. They were true SUV tires, great in the snow. On the 330 I changed to the Alenzas for 34K (awesome in the snow too) and then to OE Michelins. I traded in the 330 three months later so I didn't drive on the Michelins very long.
