When we ordered our 2011 RX450, we asked for all options except for tow and leveling.

I have read in the manual there is an option for windshield wiper de-icer.

Does anyone have this option?
Is it available in the NY area cars?

Before I start a rant with my dealer I ask here first.

It's not an option up here in Canada, it comes standard with the vehicle. Works really well too.

Called my dealer, it was not on the option sheet we worked with.

Anyone in the US have this option?

Do you have navigation? If so click on the climate button and you will see in the bottom right corner of the climate display a button to click (I believe thats where it is) that says windshield de-icer...if you don't have navigation, there should be a separate button down either in the row with the gas door release or in the row under that one...and then let us know--I went for an entire year wondering how to access that feature!

OK, Dealer had me look there, there was no option on the bottom but AC on-off

Maybe a Canada option, guess maybe they don't think it gets cold enough here.
