OK OK, one more post then I will shaddup ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Since I have a 3rd gen Dodge truck - I have some familiarity with the opinions of owners as Dodge changed from the 2nd gen to the 3rd gen to the 4th gen (pics below). The 1994 second gen was WAAAAY different than the boxy first gen trucks and did great when it came out and put Dodge back in the ballgame with truck sales. Then when the 2002 third gens came out - everyone hated them at first, then after a while it was was even more popular than the first gen (the Hemi helped as well). Then again in 2009 when the 4th gens came out it was the same deal - hate then like. In all three gens they are obviously Dodge trucks, but very easy to pick out as being different.
I also bring this up because the Dodge truck is as important (possibly even more so) to them as the RX is to Lexus so the risks of a failure are significant.

I am sorry ggravant, as a non-Dodge Ram truck owner, all three truck looks very similar to me. Kind of the same evolutionary design as the RX. I think the new Tundra made more design changes than the Dodge Ram did, although the redesign did not help the Tundra's sales numbers too much.

I personally did not care for the look of the 2nd Gen RX, too eggy. I felt they had made enough changes to it to give it a slightly more aggressive look. Not the best looker on the lot but reliability was a major consideration. Plus the interior is light years ahead of the other SUV's. I wish Lexus had stuck closer in looks to their prototype. Maybe Gen 4.

One of the reasons I will look at other manufactures is the fact that the '11 looks like the last 4 or 5 year models.
Do you think they would sell more vehicles if they changed the looks? It worked back in the day.

Make it three. I just saw the latest gen SRX tonight in a parking lot. Who's to say I might have seen it before ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
So here are a few pictures of my 330 and 450h. The difference is definitely there.

Yes I see the differences from a 330 to your 450 but what I am trying to get across is there isn't that much differece. Really, ask the average person & they just might not see much difference. Put a picture a '05 350 with the '10 & might be a lot harder to see any difference.

That would be an '05 330. 350 started a few years after 2nd gen came out. Only minor tweaks body-wise (chrome handles) and the engine changed so comparing a 330/350 to a 3rd gen 350 or 450h would not make much of a difference.
Again, I'm not sure how you want Lexus to change the RX. Are you thinking along the lines of the concept car? I can remember seeing the first one MEP posted probably on the Lexus website years ago. I'd say the 3rd gen really is not that far off.

You have a point there, I really never thought about that.
I did drive a '11 RX & I found that I liked it except for the Nav. screen that is way too deep into the dash. Had trouble seeing it in the daytime.
Too much of a reflextion off the dash area in front of it.

This was an interesting rendering I found on the intertubes that seemed to be from a few years ago. Did Caddy REALLY steal one of the Gen 4 RX designs? That would not surprise me!
