Default There's an app for that.

The "Search Bing, but don't expect to use your nav while driving" app:

David, you might want to take out the extra "http://"

It's a start for Toyota. I'd like to see more features. I have the Enform app on my iPhone. Kinda neat to send directions to the RX. But that's about it. Now if Lexus could add remote start by cell...

P.S.-Only wet not white stuff falling this morning

Updating software like Entune for the models on the road will reduce the appeal for newer models in the stealerships. I am not counting on any updates for the 2010.

Although the application seems very interesting, I wonder: Is there a different set of lawyers for Toyota and for Lexus. Currently Lexus is locking out so many functions of the nav/phone system when the car is in motion. That will change?

I would think voice command integration would need to improve as I believe voice command in the Lexus is miserable. The video of Entune seemed to indicate greater voice integration.

I hope Lexus steps up to the plate on this and catches up and surpasses everyone.

As far as your comment about the stealerships. As long as this is a simple software update, what's the big deal cars on the road, cars in the lot someone pays an additional premium to get Entune. Now a hardware update, to me that would imply a third-party solution or as you indicate a future option.

(Anita - perhaps typing at 4 in the morning is too early. Rain, no snow maybe spring has hit New Jersey. I know the Mississippi River is on the verge of flooding, so spring is here)

I don't think lockout will go away, considering people can't obey the laws as is regarding talking on the cell or texting while driving. Voice integration will be important for this to be successful.

OK, there were a few flakes this morning (and no, I was not typing at 4! Try after 6. You were online way earlier than me). No accumulation though.
