Are there many Heads up displays on the 2011?

Like my HUD
I special ordered my RX - I really like the HUD especially the prompts for the Navi. My next favorite feature is the Adaptive Cruise Control so nice for trips.

I had been driving a 2000 Pontiac with Heads-Up Display before I got my Lexus. I would never want a car without it, if I had the choice. The Lexus display is great in so many ways - on a freeway it even tells you the number of lanes going in either direction at a Y in the road, and which ones you should choose well in advance (if you are using the Navigation system). If you change some settings on the steering wheel, it flashes those on the windshield too. I think it is a HUGE safety advantage - and I really, really like it. The dealer first tried to sell me a car he had on the floor without it, and I loved the car in every other way, but decided to wait it out. I am glad I did. My new car is about 3 weeks old, and I am really pleased with the adaptive radar cruise control and the Heads Up Display more than anything else - even though there are a lot of other things I like too. That adaptive cruise control really takes a lot of the stress out of long distance driving - and I do a lot of long distance highway driving. The Lane Keep Assist is OK, but it is not as practical as the adaptive cruise control in my opinion - it is always beeping when I am changing lanes to pass other cars and trucks (as it is supposed to) and sometimes I find that tedious. But it is still kind of cool.
I even tried the Enform, which I thought I would hate, as I did not think I would want to be talking to some On-Star- like person and having to admit that I was lost, but when the girl who answered (in about 3-4 seconds) downloaded the restaurant I was trying to find to my GPS, and I was able to pull in right on time, I was sold for life!
And FYI, my wife, who could not find her way home from the grocery if it was more than two blocks away, loves the HUD for the directions feature projected on the windshield too. Now she wants one, and my pocketbook is already stretched way too thin. Oh, well. Best spend it before the government figures out a way to take it.
Have a great day.

Enform is a hit no longer do you have to pull over or try to hit the red light let Lexus put it in the nav for you . Just renew my enform the other day for the next year.

HUD on the RX series is a godsend because you have to look way down to see the analog speedometer because of the seating position. Wouldn't have an RX without it.

Don't know how I ever got along without HUD. It is an outstanding (& expensive) option, and should be a standard feature on the RX. My HUD reads 1MPH lower that the speedometer also. Makes trips a lot more enjoyable. The next best thing are the front seats extenders for comfort. Great vehicle.

The seat extender is like that on the LS460 and extends the bottom of the driver's seat forward about 4 to 6 inches to support your legs. There is a button on the seat bottom to activate the feature. It was a nice feature on my LS460 but not included on the 2011 RX350 that I purchased. I would like to have it back again.

I love my car in every way but the one option I wished hit had was the HUD. I have a very early production RX450h (May of 09) and it just wasn't available till a few months later. My next one will

No, I don't play soccer!
But you'll have to give up your sunglass holder, Jim . Who knows, maybe Lexus will add it back in for future models. I like HUD but still find myself looking at the speedo.

Yea, I saw you lusting after mine (sunglass holder), I believe in a weak moment you could have been coaxed into an even swap

^^ on the 2013 GS-h, the head up display also gives you an eco meter, which would be very helpful. I find myself looking down at the speedo anyways because I like to look at the energy tach as well
