Default Prices Paid 2011 RX350

Im looking to buy a 2011 RX350 FWD or AWD with premium package in the next week in the SF Bay area. Has anyone recently bought and can you tell me the price you paid?

2nd question, is there a big difference in FWD or AWD since I live in the bay area. There isn't any snow and I heard the best reason for AWD is the snow.

Thanks!

I have AWD in Canada but wouldnt bother in California. At least 2 mpg penalty, more weight on the vehicle, more to go wrong over time..... Plus you will have less negotiating room since the dealers dont have many AWD in California.

IMO, pay little more now for AWD regardless where you live in US. MPG is negligible with type of AWD in current RX, and its more desired model when time comes to sell. Besides, you will have safer drive to Lake Tahoe during the winter season

If you plan to keep the RX for a long time, it really should depend on how and where you plan to drive the vehicle. If you travel in the Sierra's during the winter where snow/ice conditions exist, I would opt for the AWD as believe it is a safer way to travel in winter. If you only plan to stay in the Bay area in your travels, or never venture where ice/snow are prevalent, the FWD will likely meet your needs easily.

Some guys here claimed they can get 35K for no options. So if you just add premium package, that' should be 2.4K more + the AWD = 38K - 38.5K max. Good luck with searching and welcome to the Club.

I use truecar.com which gives actual sales prices. Input your location and the options and it shows you what others have actually paid.

I live in the desert and I definitely wanted the AWD. You never know when you will need it and it helps with torque steer. Distributes the torque evenly on acceleration, etc. Also as mentioned better for resale.

If you can wait until the 2012's come out, you can save a bundle of money on the 2011s.

The only problem is that the selection of 2011 will be a lot less in terms of color and package

If you can wait...I would order one. However since the Japan Disaster I'm not sure how long that process is taking I ordered mine in November and got it in March (built in Japan). This way you get exactly what you want and the color you want. We went with AWD for rain traction and for the spur of the moment trip to Tahoe in the winter the gas mileage isn't that much difference. I am sure the number of RX's available is dwindling - I have noticed the Toyota supply has been dwindling as well - I drive by a Toyota dealership every day and the used to be full, now there are very few cars on the lot. I am sure Lexus is getting the same way.

Got mine in VA in early June.

Sticker 45,500.

Paid 42,900

I had a trade that was pretty good. It was a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L. Sticker on that was around 28K and I got it for about 25K. On trade with 54,000 miles I got $17,500.

Overall, I was very happy with the deal.

Best part was I got a vehicle that I absolutely love driving!
