The procedure that worked for me on my 2010 RX 350 is as follows:
1. Make sure the trip/odo is in the Trip A selection.
2. Hold down the ODOD/TRIP button while while hitting the start button twice with your foot not on the brake. You don't want to start the car.![Woot](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)

3. It immediately goes to resetting oil maintenance message and quickly reset it.

The instructions are in the DIY section of the manual, page 491 for the hybrid.
Display trip meter A, then turn power off.
While pressing the ODO/TRIP button, turn the power switch to on mode.
Keep the ODO/TRIP button pressed for about five seconds. Reset is complete when 000000 in the trip meter flashes once and the message in the multi-information display disappears.
I think the mistake in the other instructions is to hold the ODO/TRIP button while turning the power off. Good luck.

hold the ODO/TRIP button before starting the engine. While pushing and holding, start the engine and continue holding. There will be a little animation on the trip computer and hold until animation is done.

As mentioned above, this information is in the owners manual. Once you've found it, put a book marker of some type on the page for quick reference the next time it's needed.
