Pretty Mad At Myself: Rear Bumper Damage
This was quite stupid of me.
I had pulled into a space on an incline hill in order to pick up a friend, so I didnt park, I just stopped there. Well after he got in, I FORGOT I LEFT HER IN REVERSE and of course, I pushed the pedal a little harder than usual because I anticipated needing to go up the hill.
Well we went flying backwards. By the time we stopped, quite literally on the backup camera, the car behind us was up close but I didnt hear a bang or anything. Went out, didnt notice anything and praised the lord. It was dark out.
Got home and noticed two small round indents from the car's front license plate screws. Could have been much worse but it still sucks. Now I know why the Prius and CT have those backup alarms...

don't worry about it RXSF, accidents happen. as long as no one was hurt, that's the main thing. when you get a chance, have a bodyshop fix it and chalk it up as experience learned (we ALL learn from the school of hard knocks, in one way or another).

lol you guys. didnt notice anything on the nav screen. The backup camera at night is of a black screen and the navigation is set to night view as well. I dont know at what speeds the sonars begin to work but they didnt work until I got the car to stop. The spot I was in was actually two spots so I had enough room to fly backwards.
Im not that upset. Like others and myself have said, it could have been a lot worse instead of just two screw marks. There could have been damage to the other car too. Learned my lesson.
I dont know what shenanigans Im going to get myself into when im 60

RXSF, our new RX did not have 500 miles on it when my wife lowered the garage door on the front. It just missed the hood but really gouged and scrapped the front bumper cover. I was furious! Not at the wife, but because everything seemed to be going wrong that week. I was concerned that they could not repair it and match the paint. Well a few weeks and $500 later all was well. I am an **** guy when it comes to our vehicles and I could not tell it from new. Everything in perspective I say to myself. (That is of course until the next time)
